A Quantock Enterprise partner, Rock International Investments, Inc., is a business development consulting firm that identifies and arranges strategic partnerships and raises capital primarily for companies in emerging markets.In the film and television sector, Rock International is involved in a $100 million structuring for a Bollywood fund - one of a slate of media and entertainment projects that the firm is pursuing both independently and in partnership with the Quantock Group of Companies.
Over the last decade, Rock International’s focus has been on India and China where the firm has represented companies such as Usha India; Crayola; Rama Group; Link Apparel; Harbin Multi-Line Group; All China Marketing Research Company; Oceans Sports Marketing Group; Health and Lifestyle TV Channel and Shanghai Cartoon Company.
Before embarking on its corporate development and relationship management activities in Asia, Rock International was active in Central Europe, representing companies in the auto parts, paint and coating, and construction sectors. Projects included the introduction of Carrier - the world’s largest refrigeration manufacturer - to a Romanian bottling and refrigeration manufacturer; the representation of MK Ferguson in bidding for contracts to revamp Polish pharmaceutical companies to meet GMP standards; and the facilitation of Crayola’s entry into the Hungarian market.
Rock International has extensive experience in establishing enduring links across commercial sectors and forming effective working relationships with governments and sovereign agencies seeking to attract infrastructure and capital to their jurisdictions. For example, the firm has, to date, represented several cities and Development Zones in China’s Jiangsu Province. The firm has also collaborated with a Sino-American trading company in partnership with the Chinese Ministry of Light Industry representing 260,000 manufacturers.
Rock International’s founder and president, Rosalind Rock earned her MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Ms. Rock is a member of Financial Women’s Association and she sits on the New York University Alumni Entrepreneurship Committee.
